The aarti ceremony held in the evening at the Dashashwamedh Ghat is very popular and cannot be missed. The aarti ceremony takes place after sunset around 6.30 PM in the presence of lots of people. The aarti is performed using brass lamps along with the rhythmic chanting of the mantras by the pupils of the Upanishads and Vedas. The lamps, the mantras, the ganges.. all together it is a very magical event and it made me very emotional. It is difficult to explain, the best thing to do is to experience it yourself.
